you twist a sentiment that simply translates to "i am sorry" so that it plays on your mind because after years it's so twisted that it's become heavy - it's heavy because it's such a light gesture that never plays out ... and this is cruel
so it's an extremely heavy burden due to the cruelty of something light that never played out
so much so now that it plays on your mind as you must let it go
