How do you feel about sound?
Do you feel sound, or does sound feel you - and leave an impression?
Sound familiar or not?
Do you understand tone, or just words?
Sound works on many different levels at once. It's subliminal. Understanding a broader spectrum of sound frequency patterns provides insight and empathy. Some things are better left unsaid, however.
An example of tone:
I could, in real life, say FUCK YOU, but depending on how I say it, it could be an insult or self deprecating, or a number of different things. But we can't hear each other on the internet. What dictates tone on the internet is context. Tone is also distinguishable in walls of text such as this because of the paragraphical flow as I relate these ideas. But one liners don't provide that. That's why context is important to grasp.
The meanings inferred by context change over time as new contexts overlap old ones, much like the subliminal layers in tone in something audible. One could relate this to evolution of a species but then I would have to write a fucking book and yeah that's not gonna happen.
Or is it?
